just got this product (HP x740w Flash Drive) USB 3.0. Tested it out by copying two files onto it (totaling >2GB)
a) the USB 3.0 is a joke, the file transfer was slower than the older USB Flash Drives that I have.
b) after about 7 minutes being plugged in, the Memory Stick was really hot. If life were a cartoon it would be glowing red. I have another steel covered flash drive that does not get hot even after being in use for 30+ minutes.
Stay away from this product.

HP USB 3.0 64GB Flash Drive – x740W : When i copied 8GB data on to the flash drive using USB 3.0 port on Notebook PC, got a write speed of 23 MB/Sec but it was unusually getting heated up. The measuring device that i used could only measure max 43 deg C ( 110 F ). I believe the flash drive was getting heated up above 43 deg C. Do not know whether i received a defective one or else this model of flash drive works this way due to its lean thickness.
A separate HP flash drive which i had purchased more than 4 years ago (HP 64GB X705 USB 3.0 ) has a write speed of 50MB/sec much higher than this model and it is not getting heated up excessively as of date. This model is currently not available.

Last month I’ve ordered this HP Flash Drive. After receiving the product, first I tried to register it on HP India’s Website but I didn’t find any drive which has product name as HP x740w. Then I unboxed it and connected to my HP Pavilion 14v015TU Laptop’s one of USB 3.P Port which has 2 USB 3.0 Ports and tried to transfer a 5 GB File, which was transferring at 12-15 Mbps speed. After this I returned the product and asked for a refund which I received last week

It is a nice product of ho . Do not think much just go for it. But sometimes when you copy large files for larger period of time it gets heated up, but not much. Quality is good metal finishing is gud, not heavy ,speed is awesome.

This is my third hp pendrive and as always it is great. I got it at 750 ₹. At this price this is nice deal.
Total free space is around 57.6 GB. Write speed is also good. Heats up little bit due to metal casing but thats not a big issue.

Got dis pendrive for 680. It’s an adorable cute little product. Jus loved it. Full metal n plastic hook at d top. It’s authentic n genuine product sticked wit HP Hologram sticker inside d package. Fully functioning pendrive. Very much satisfied.

I am extremely sorry to write, although it is printed 64GB on pen drive, after a long when I started using it, then it is known to me, it is only 32GB. I am surprised to see such a reputed company is doing such a mischieve. If it is pissible, Amazon authority please takeup this issue with HP, so that fault can be found.
