I’m a university student, so I needed a flash drive for everyday use, something that wouldn’t break when dropped, and a lot of storage because you know how it feels when you’re forced to delete files to make space for new ones.
This SanDisk flash drive has a metallic finish that looks pretty awesome. You cannot believe how tiny it is, it’s even smaller than you’d expect it to be, and it’s light as well.
Some people mentioned it gets hot, and yes apparently when you use it for prolonged periods and transfer big files, it gets warm, but not too hot.
To be honest, getting it out of the laptop is a bit of a challenge every time, I have a MacBook Pro, and you need to pull it while pushing the laptop to take it out, but when using it in university computers ( PC ), it comes right off, no trouble what so ever. My concern so far is if I’m gonna scratch the metallic finish due to friction when connecting it to my laptop or when taking it out, but I’ll put an update if that happens. But to be honest, I’m sure they had to compromise the height of the USB port to achieve such a small and thin flash drive.
Transfer rate seems to be ok, but in case yours is a bit slow, a piece of advice would be to disable background scanning or real-time scanning by your antivirus as it will scan each individual file being transferred, thus slowing the transfer down, and when you’re done with the transfer, enable it again. Just make sure you let the antivirus scan the flash drive before you disable it. If you will be transferring large files, I would suggest a 3.0 USB flash drive, just read the reviews before you make your mind as some people said they don’t notice and difference in speed.
Now about that password protection, it could come in handy, but when you’re transferring files between different platforms like windows and Mac, you might find it a bit unpractical, unless you’re moving some private or sensitive files it could be unnecessary.
Delivery was good, it arrived within the agreed time period.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a pen drive with a large storage capacity, just make sure you get a lanyard or neck strap because if you don’t, chances are you’ll lose it.

The flash drive is petite and small, but I like its metallic finish. The storage capacity shows 28.6 gb but I guess that’s fine given the default hidden settings for the pendrive to work in the computer. So overall it’s a good product.
I have been buying these since the old plastic Cruzer Blades fell apart on me, the casing wore out kept being used. These metal things have gone through washing machines, tumble driers, left outside in all conditions and still work. I know they are USB 2.0 but never had one fail. Lost a few though as they are damn tiny. There is encryption software pre programed on each one if you choose to use it. Please San Disk, do a USB 3.0 version identical to this one for similar price and I’m sold 😉 I have heard these things being slated as Cruzer Force, as u have to “force them in” but it means whatever USB port they used them on wasn’t to spec 🙂

I’ve used three of these so far and am ordering more (college work).
One of them went through a wash cycle and tumble dryer and I was fortunately still able to access and use files stored on it. Thank goodness.
I keep the one I’m currently using on a bunch of household keys and it stands up to daily use, still looks brand new. They also feel lovely and smooth. A really excellent quality product.

Nice product…..I was amazed when it gives me 63.05 GB storage space…..It is durable and stylish….. I’m using it on mobile….so here copy speed is average 10 mb/s….in first few seconds it gives 50-60mb/s and after it reduces….. sometimes it gives 3 to 4 mb/s or 400 to 800kb/s(when it heats up)….It doesn’t heats much as you think…..
I bought it bcoz I need durability, look…. Speed doesn’t matter to me…so I preferred it.

Reason to buy is the metal case. I was using SanDisk cruzer blade which has plastic case which broke and got stuck in the usb port. After lot of hardwork I took it out. It was my cars usb port. So bought pendrive with metal casing. Feels a bit heavy and good built quality.
28.6gb available. Even cruzer blade has also 28.6gb. Better go with this one price was 399 which is 40rs more than plastic pendrive. 5 years warranty. So satisfied

Beautiful pen drive might be a little slow but it’s ok I don’t care about the speed I just wanted it for some windows backup or you know whenever windows crashes or something happens I can use it to reinstall windows the speed might be a little slow but it comes with a 5 year warranty that means I don’t have to worry about a pendrive for the next five years if anything happens SanDisk is all trustable brand and it will definitely not fail to satisfy its customers. Also I bought the 32 GB variant and it came with around 28 GB storage only so ya 4GB was already used.
The actual size of the pen drive is 58GB and not 64GB. I have seen many reviews of this product. All have at least 63GB. But in my case I got only 58 GB , 6GB less. Please give me a remedy

Pendrive storage is 32gb but when i plug into pc it seems 28gb.
It is a very bad product. In the picture is nice but the real product did not look like it is in the picture and did not look genuine. It is better to go for cursor blade which is lower priced.

Grabbed this in the equivalent of a grocery store impulse rack purchase…should have thought about it more. It a nice design – small, lightweight, metal case – but pretty slow. Same capacity in a 3.0 would have been a better choice and probably cheaper, too. It does what it says on the tin, though, so not a big loss.
Sandisk cruzer 64 GB USB stopped working after 1 year. Write protect issue. We don’t have any choice to repair it. No durability. Don’t buy it. Search for other USB drives. I have been using HP pendrive since 2013.
Update: As my flash darive has under warranty, Sandisk replaced new one.
Changing review to 5 star for their exceptional service.
Bought recently without reading reviews first so am concerned seeing many buyers here have had the guts fall out, so as a precaution I have added a couple of dabs of superglue on the reverse where the red plastic joins the metal in the hope it will help keep it together. So far it still seems to be working.
Having got a bad stick that ruined my data many years ago I always test them before hand now using H2testw, the results can be seem in my picture and shows this stick is good. Read write speed tests are reliant on you having a compatible pc to test them on, so if your pc is quite old don’t expect it to write/read quickly to a stick with more advanced technology than your PC. All USB and disk drives will reserve some space for file format and boot record information, so a 64g drive will show as a few gig less because this info is stored where you can’t see it. This boot data storage is normal on all storage drives and is not the same as having a drive that claims to be 64g when it only holds 16g thereby corrupting all your data.
Very occasionally I have put sticks I know to be OK into PC and windows says it can’t read it and asks me if I want to format, this can be quite alarming if there is data I need to access. If you get this warning I recommend you ignore it and access your data via windows explorer or by using a Linux distro, if it happens often it might be a good idea to clear your drive and reformat it as you would a clean instal of an operating system.
This stick was bought for using with our TV and seems adequate for the job. If it goes wrong or the guts drop out I will be back here to complain about it, but so far it seems OK for the price.
